TSB Assignment 2
Can someone who has committed murder ever be fully trusted again? Explain why or why not.
I don’t think someone who has commited murder can ever be trusted again. This is because murder is such a terrible crime that anyone who would do that would have poor character. Someone with poor character is probably not very trustworthy, therefore it would be hard to fully trust them. Also, a lot of people would not want to be with a former murderer.
Why might Circle Justice have worked better for the Native Americans prior to the arrival of Europeans in North America?
Circle Justice is a process similar to a trial where a judge, a victim, a defendant, and witnesseses share their stories about what happened. Afterwards the judge figures out the consequences. The reason circle justice worked better for the Native Americans before the arrival of the Europeans was because the Europeans have their own laws, backrounds, and culture. The Europeans were probably less interested in trying to learn or adopt Native American ways as they were trying to dominate with their own ways.
