I think that the Circle of justice is a good thing because it gives people that have done crimes a second chance. It’s a better alternative to our sytem of justice today because it gives criminals a chance to calm down by themselves, and go on an island and think about what they have done. A bad thing about it is if the criminal doesn’t become a better person at all and just keeps doing bad things, then it would have been time-wasting because the criminal could have been in jail. I think the Circle of Justice does have the potential to help Cole Matthews resolve his situation, because I think he will learn that he’s done a bad thing, and that time alone on the island will help him calm down and become a better person. When I’m alone I tend to think a lot, and I think Cole will think about what he’s done and decide he doesn’t want to go through being isolated on an island again.
