Life Skills Call To Action 17
When I see drivers cut other people off, the people who got cut off tend to get angry and throw their hands up in disbelief. I think this happens because if there had been an accident, the driver who wasn’t at fault would be angry. Even without an accident they want to let the person know that cutting people off is wrong. If people cut in front of other people in line, those affected tend to not get very angry, but instead usually just say something like: “Excuse me, you cut me in line but you can stay there.” Sometimes people say things like: “Hey Buddy, you cut me in line! So return to your spot.” Overall it seems that people dont get as angry when someone cuts them in line, but they do get angry when people cut them off when driving, because it’s dangerous.
When dealing with conflict, it’s best to communicate so the other person understands your feelings. On the other hand, ignoring the situation or overreacting doesn’t work well to resolve conflict.
